The Jim Nunnelly Institute for Health and Violence Prevention
The Institute is a community-based effort to reduce/eliminate violence and substance abuse in metropolitan Kansas City.
With special emphasis on youth, the Jim Nunnelly Institute strives for equity and inclusion for all our citizens.
The Institute will focus on:
Violence Prevention as a public health issue
Creating community impact partners and mentors
Policy development and peer review
The vision of the Jim Nunnelly Institute is for all citizens, especially our young people, to
have the knowledge and opportunity to lead a healthy lifestyle. The Institute will under
promise and over perform to be known as producers, not talkers.
The Jim Nunnelly Institute will have ArtsTech as its fiscal sponsor, who will provide
nonprofit status as well as support. Dave Sullivan, former ArtsTech Executive Director,
will provide operational support and consultation.
