Computer Troubleshooting and Repair Services

ArtsTech offers our customers computer repair and troubleshooting services for non-warranty PC's. Onsite and in-house repair service is available.

Computer Repair Training

The troubleshooting class that provides a hands-on opportunity for youth and adult learners to master basic techniques and skills for diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading computers. Upon successful completion of the 20-hour course, learners will be given the computer they refurbished, along with the toolkit used in class. These repair and diagnostic skills can save hundreds of dollars in costly repairs and down time.

Experienced, professional instructors conduct each program. On-site programs can be tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of your school or organization.

This course outline reflects the areas most often encountered in school and office applications of computer technology.

1. History of the PC
2. PC Component Overview and Identification (Drives, Motherboards, RAM, Processors, etc.)
3. Disassembly and Assembly of Computers
4. Troubleshooting Tools and Procedures
5. Following a Procedure
6. Connecting Mice and Keyboards
7. Installing Operating Systems (DOS 6.X and Windows)
8. Installing Menu Systems
9. Installing Software
10. Setting up Windows Icons and Shortcuts
11. Using Windows
12. Installing New Components (Modems, CD-ROM Drives)
13. Printer Setup under Windows

Each class accommodate 10 students.

Troubleshooting and Repair Classes are not open to the public, but any organization can schedule a program for up to 10 participants.

 

Website Development

Web site design and development, updates and site maintenance, complete web site redesign, password protected web pages, membership and/or board directory access, and teaching web site development.
